The Must-sees of the trip

  1. Welcome to Al ÁndalusOn a city tour, you will visit the historic centre of Seville. In the early afternoon, you will enjoy your first lunch together. On the subsequent walk towards the railway station, you will visit the Plaza de España with its numerous photo opportunities before it’s time to board! After a warm welcome, you will move into your compartment in the Al Ándalus. Enjoy your dinner on board as your train rolls towards Jerez de la Frontera. You will stay in your comfortable compartment for the next six nights.
  2. Along the Costa de la LuzToday, you will travel along the Strait of Gibraltar to Tarifa, the southernmost point of mainland Europe. Enjoy the unique view of North Africa before visiting the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia in a picturesque location by the sea. In Seville, marvel at the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and then enjoy a typical Andalusian dinner. You will stay in a deluxe hotel in Seville.
  3. From Ronda to CórdobaBuilt on a mountain ridge, right on the edge of the El Tajo de Ronda gorge, through which the Guadalevín flows, the sight of the city is fascinating and unique. In addition, the mostly whitewashed buildings tell many stories from the times of Roman and Moorish rule. During lunch, the Al Ándalus rolls towards Córdoba. A city tour gives you a first impression of the emirate and medieval caliphate of Al Ándalus, at that time the largest, most cultivated and richest city in Western Europe.

Cultural pleasure in Málaga

Today you will discover the diversity of the city’s cultural heritage left behind by the Romans, Arabs and the Renaissance. In between, discover the fascinating tapas culture in a traditional bodega – and follow in the footsteps of Pablo Picasso on a visit to the Picasso Museum.

Granada

Today you will explore Granada, the cosmopolitan and cheerful city at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada with its magnificent medieval architecture. And you will visit one of the most famous examples: the Alhambra. An extensive fortress complex with imposing royal palaces. No less impressive are the Generalife Gardens with lush fountains and enchanted corners and the summer palace of the Nasrid sultans.

Córdoba – Úbeda – Baeza

This morning you will visit the impressive and historic Mezquita Cathedral in Córdoba. Your lunch will then be served on board the Al Ándalus as the gently rolling countryside full of olive groves passes you by. You arrive at the railway station in Linares and after a short bus ride you explore the Renaissance gems of Baeza and Úbeda (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Visit an oil mill and taste the locally produced olive oil.
