The Dunn’s River Falls, a 180 metre high waterfall that can be climbed, and the beaches, including James Bond Beach, which is known from the James Bond films and is ideal for swimming and snorkelling, are particularly well-known.

The city combines modern amenities with historical charm and is a popular tourist destination. Particularly noteworthy is the colonial architecture with its colourfully painted buildings in the historic centre, which preserve the Dutch colonial style and give the city a unique charm. Oranjestad also has a picturesque harbour, which is frequented by cruise ships and offers a beautiful marina with a view of the crystal-clear water.
  3. Puerto Limón – Costa RicaPuerto Limón is a harbour city on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and the capital of the province of Limón. It is an important commercial harbour and a popular tourist destination that offers a tropical climate, Caribbean culture and beautiful nature. The city is known for its lively Caribbean atmosphere, which can be seen in its music, colours, architecture and cuisine, influenced by Afro-Caribbean, Latin American and West Indian traditions. The harbour of Limón, one of the largest in Costa Rica, is an important transshipment point for agricultural products. Puerto Limón is also surrounded by beautiful Caribbean beaches, such as Playa Bonita and the beaches around Cahuita, which offer ideal conditions for swimming, snorkelling and relaxing.

Roatán is the largest island of the Bay Islands archipelago in Honduras and is known for its white sandy beaches, coral reefs and tropical nature. In recent years, it has become a popular destination for travellers seeking both relaxation and adventure. The island is a paradise for divers and snorkellers as it is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest coral reef system in the world, with impressive dive sites such as Mary’s Place and West End.

Roatán also offers beautiful beaches, including West Bay Beach, known for its fine white sand and crystal clear waters, ideal for swimming and water sports. In addition, the island is dotted with tropical rainforests and hills that are perfect for hiking and ziplining, and also offers experiences such as swimming with dolphins and visiting exotic animals at the Roatán Institute for Marine Sciences and Carambola Gardens.

Colón is a harbour city on the Caribbean coast of Panama and serves as an access point to the Panama Canal from the Caribbean side. It is located around 80 kilometres northwest of Panama City and is the second largest city in the country. Colón has historical significance as an important trading port and is closely linked to the Panama Canal. Visitors can visit the Panama Canal Railway Museum to learn more about the construction of the canal. The city is also home to the Colón Free Trade Zone, one of the largest free trade zones in the world, which is an international trading centre. Colón is also known for its colonial architecture, especially in the Colón 2000 district, and for its tropical nature and proximity to beautiful beaches such as Playa Langosta and Playa Chagres, which are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and fishing.

Cartagena is a historic city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, known for its colonial architecture, vibrant culture and breathtaking beaches. The city is one of the country’s most important tourist destinations and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its history ranges from the Spanish colonial era to its importance as a trading port. Of particular interest is the old town, Ciudad Amurallada, which is known for its colourfully painted buildings, narrow streets and historic fortresses such as the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, which offers spectacular views over the city. Cartagena is also famous for its Caribbean beaches, such as Playa Blanca on the island of Barú, with its clear waters and white sand, as well as the beaches of the Islas del Rosario, which are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and diving. The city also impresses with its colonial architecture, including churches, monasteries and palatial buildings such as the Plaza Santo Domingo with its art gallery and the Cathedral of Cartagena.
