Good starting point to visit the surrounding area such as Pilanesberg with Sun City, Cradle of Mankind, Lesedi Cultural Village, Soweto.
Stellenbosch – Paarl
The large wine-growing region is about half an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Stay a night or two and sample the excellent South African wines, such as the Lanzerac, Nederburg, Allesverloren and Kanonkop wine estates, to name only a few.
Hermanus – Gaansbaai – Cape Agulhas
Hermanus and Gaansbaai are famous for humpback whale watching and cage diving with sharks.
George – Knysna – Plettenberg Bay
On the way to George, the starting point of the Garden Route, you can either spend the night in Albertinia at the Albertinia Hotel or simply enjoy a very good steak. Albertinia is a small, remote village, but is famous among bungee sports enthusiasts. Knysna, on the other hand, is a must for its bay and oysters. Plettenberg Bay is a “hot spot” for surfers.
