1. Mystical Exploration: On the Footsteps of Aphrodite in Cyprus
   Set off on a journey through the mountains to the monastery of Chrysorroyiatissa, 850 metres above sea level. Known for its three ornate entrances and idyllic inner courtyard, the monastery is best known for its excellent wine production. In the immediate vicinity of the monastery is the village of Panayia, birthplace of Makarios III, the first President of Cyprus. The journey continues to Polis, once home to the ancient city-kingdom of Marion, the picturesque fishing village of Latchi and finally to the natural grotto, the ‘Baths of Aphrodite’. According to a myth, it was here that the goddess of love and beauty bathed and met her lover Adonis.
2. Cultural Exploration: Nicosia, Between East and West
   This excursion will take you to Nicosia, also known as Lefkosia, a city with impressive Venetian ramparts, a divided old town and fascinating traces of both the West and the East. A visit to Nicosia is an absolute must for any trip to Cyprus. In a historic square stands the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St John, whose interior impresses with its well-preserved murals and artistic jewels. You can also explore the temporary border, known as the Green Line, which divides the city.
3. Enchanted Exploration: In the Footsteps of Aphrodite in Geroskipou and Paphos
   You will first visit the village of Geroskipou, also known as the “sacred garden” of the goddess Aphrodite, to discover the five-domed church of Ayia Paraskevi. You will then continue on to Paphos, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can admire the royal tombs and the magnificent Roman mosaics of the Houses of Dionysus. After lunch in a typical fish taverna in the old port, you will visit the monastery of Saint Neofytos. Finally, you will reach the breathtaking Rock of Aphrodite, known as Petra tou Romiou, where, according to the Greek legend, Aphrodite was born from the foam of the sea.
