Monastir
The coast between Mahdia and Hammamet is lined with charming medinas, lively souks, marinas and elegant seafronts. While the miles of golden beaches offer extraordinary seaside views, the back country invites you to immerse yourself in a world of authenticity. Between the rolling dunes, the grandiose canyons and the fertile valleys, the back country conceals a wealth of historical and cultural treasures that are often unsuspected!

With its endless beaches bathed in sunshine for around 300 days a year, its authentic and contrasting back country, its colourful villages and its rich heritage marked by the history of civilisations, Tunisia offers a wonderful change of scenery. Its expertise in treatments dedicated to the well-being of body and mind is another asset the destination can boast. Countless hotels have made this their strong point, showcasing state-of-the-art facilities where ancestral rituals and the virtues of water are given pride of place.
The Must-sees of the trip
- The Pearl of the Sahel, SousseNicknamed the Pearl of the Sahel, Sousse lives up to its name and is ideally located at the gateway to the Sahara. The world’s largest desert and its many landscapes await you for an adventure on camelback or in a 4×4, and you may even get the chance to share a cup of tea with the nomads.
- El JemDuring your stay, take the opportunity to visit El Jem. The city, which has a rich historical past, was founded on the ruins of the ancient city of Thydrus and is well worth a visit. It is particularly famous for its amphitheatre, one of the largest in the Roman Empire.
- Medina of SousseConsidered as an actual activity in Tunisia, haggling in the souks is definitely something to do if you want to bring back some great memories of your trip in Tunisia. The ones in the Medina of Sousse are particularly worth a visit.
