Mývatn Nature Baths

The Mývatn Nature Baths in the north of Iceland offer a unique relaxation experience in mineral-rich geothermal water known for its healing properties. These baths are not as crowded as the famous Blue Lagoon and offer the opportunity to relax while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanic landscape.

Egilsstaðir

Egilsstaðir is the largest town in eastern Iceland and an important centre for trade, culture and transport in the region. The town lies on the banks of the Lagarfljót river and is surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, including the Hallormsstaðaskógur forest, the largest in Iceland, and the Hengifoss waterfall. Egilsstaðir is also known for its cultural events, such as the annual Icelandic Folk Music Festival. It is an ideal destination for exploring the East Fjords and the surrounding highlands while enjoying modern amenities and local hospitality.

Laki lava field

The Laki lava field in the south of Iceland is a spectacular volcanic site created by a massive eruption in 1783-1784. This eruption created a 27 kilometre-long fissure, from which around 115 craters, known as Lakagígar, were formed. Today, visitors can explore this unique landscape on off-road vehicle tracks, especially the F206 and F207 tracks, which offer breathtaking views of the lava formations covered in fluorescent green moss. The area is also famous for its scenic hikes and breathtaking panoramas, making Laki a must-see for nature and geology enthusiasts.
