Advent in Abtenau
During Advent, the streets and squares in Abtenau are festively decorated and the scent of roasted almonds, mulled wine and cinnamon waffles fills the air. An unforgettable event is the traditional Krampus run – the villagers are dressed up in frightening costumes with masks and are accompanied by the ringing of bells and the glow of fire.
