In the morning, we first take a short bus ride to the famous town of Taormina. From the district of Mazzaró, a cable car takes us to the centre, from where we experience magnificent views of Mount Etna, over 3300 metres high, the fertile coastal landscape and the sea. We visit the Greco-Roman amphitheatre, among other things, before the cable car takes us back down to the valley in the late afternoon and the bus will take us back to the hotel.

Enjoy the evening by the sea with a tasty dinner in a restaurant right on the beach. Overnight stay in Giardini-Naxos.

In the morning, we will take the coach on an excursion to the foot of the Etna volcano. Depending on the weather and volcanic activity, you can take an optional excursion by cable car and off-road vehicle into the volcanic landscape (not included in the tour price!). Afterwards, the railway ride begins with the Circumetnea on the narrow-gauge railway with a track gauge of 950 mm, which was built in 1895 primarily for the farmers of the region. On the almost 110 km long route, with the apex at approx. 1000 metres above sea level, the track runs through vineyards, vegetable and fruit fields and, of course, through macchia and lava landscapes. In Riposto, we change to the standard-gauge railway line and travel to Giardini-Naxos, which lies directly by the sea. Overnight stay in Giardini-Naxos.

The excursion by cable car and off-road vehicle can be booked as an option. The cost is € 78.00 per person.

In the early morning, we have the opportunity to explore the medieval old town of Enna. The town boasts an ornate cathedral as well as a huge fortress, a piazza with buildings from the Mussolini era and other architecturally interesting buildings. A coach then takes you to the east coast of Sicily, to the city of Siracusa (Syracuse), founded by Greeks from Corinth in 734 BC. The city has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005. In ancient times, it was the largest and most important city in Sicily for centuries, with Greek and Roman theatres and temples, romantic palaces by the sea and historic buildings in the old town, the Ortigia, which we will visit. Overnight stay in Siracusa.
