Dubai
Dubai is undoubtedly the most famous of the seven emirates and is best known for the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa. This breathtaking attraction draws tourists from all over the world, as does the Dubai Fountain with its breathtaking water show. The city also fascinates with its huge shopping centres such as the Dubai Mall, which not only includes luxury boutiques but also the largest indoor ski centre in the world. Despite this, the city has retained some of its traditional character and you can find souks that give a more authentic picture of the local culture.
The United Arab Emirates is a country in the Middle East that stretches along the Arabian Gulf and consists of seven emirates. Like its capital Abu Dhabi, Dubai has quickly developed into an ultra-modern metropolis with huge shopping centres and majestic skyscrapers. However, in the smaller emirates, which are still largely unknown to tourists, authenticity and tradition still prevail.
The Must-sees of the trip
- Dubai and the Burj KhalifaThis excursion takes you through Dubai, past the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and the Dubai Mall, the largest shopping centre in the United Arab Emirates. You will also pass the marina and the artificial island of The Palm Jumeirah with the Atlantis The Palm hotel. You can buy souvenirs from your trip during a stop at the souk in Madinat Jumeirah.
- Dinner cruise at the marinaThis dinner cruise is the ideal choice if you want to combine sightseeing with fine dining. You will dine on the deck of a dhow (or dhow), a traditional wooden boat, departing from Dubai Marina. The marina is undoubtedly one of the most recognisable places in the city, overlooking much of Dubai. You will sail past impressive buildings and world-class architectural wonders. The cruise is accompanied by a gourmet dinner prepared by the city’s best chefs, with a selection of dishes from around the world and musical accompaniment.
- Desert safariThis excursion, which starts in the afternoon, takes you through the desert of Ras Al Khaimah. On an exciting drive through the heart of the desert, you will discover a beautiful landscape of golden dunes. There will be photo stops where you can take the time to capture the beauty of the landscape. As soon as the sun goes down, you will move to the “Bedouin Oasis Camp”, where you will have the opportunity to go on a camel ride, try your hand at sandboarding or get henna tattoos on your hands or feet. Afterwards, you can enjoy a barbecue dinner under the stars (included in the price) and, if you wish, you can try out a shisha. The evening ends around the campfire with a belly dance show.
