Amidst the fantastic mountain scenery of the Himalayas lies the small kingdom of Bhutan, where the happiest people in the world live. Life here has hardly changed over the last few centuries, nature is unspoilt and the Buddhist faith is omnipresent. Prayer flags flutter in the wind and prayer wheels and chortens can be seen on every corner. Preserving traditions is the top priority and so the country is only slowly opening up to the outside world.
