The Must-sees of the trip
- Corinth Canal – IteaThe Corinth Canal pierces the isthmus of the same name, turning the Peloponnese into an island by separating this region of Greece from the mainland. Inaugurated in 1893, it is just over six kilometres long. Both sides of the canal are around fifty metres high. From the outside decks, you can follow the ship’s progress across this thin stream of water set between high ochre cliffs, a sight not to be missed. Choice of excursions: Sacred site of Delphi or Monastery of Saint Lucas and Arachova.
- PargaAs an ancient port in the region of Epirus, Parga lies on the western coast of the Hellenic country. In this unspoilt Balkan region, lush green peaks meet azure stretches of water. Choice of excursions : Arta and its archaeological museum, or ancient Nicopolis and Preveza.
- OtrantoLocated in the Apulia region, Otranto is the most easterly of the transalpine towns. Behind its medieval fortifications, you can enjoy the gentle pace of life in Salento, the “heel of the Italian boot”. Choice of excursions : Lecce, the Florence of southern Italy, or La Pizzica, a folk tradition from Puglia.

Refinement and Design: The Private Yacht Experience
The Austral Ponant
Innovative design, a slim silhouette, sophisticated interior decoration, a warm and intimate atmosphere: French designers and decorators have given this ship a unique style and a real signature. Noble materials, harmonious tones with a hint of bright colour, sophisticated lines, subtle and discreet refinement… everything has been thought out to create a unique atmosphere and a real personality on board: the chic and natural relaxation of a true private yacht.
Split
On the Dalmatian coast, a possible excursion: a walking tour of the city, starting with a visit to the basement of the Roman Palace, which is very large and gives an insight into how the palace was organised. Then visit St Duje’s Cathedral and the Temple of Jupiter.
Before heading back to the ship, take a stroll through the narrow streets, stroll through the market at the foot of the palace or enjoy a refreshment in a café on the Riva, the seafront at the foot of the ramparts.
Zadar
The ancient walled city of Zadar stands on a peninsula in Northern Dalmatia. It has existed since ancient times, as the ruins of the Roman forum bear witness.
Piran
On the Slovenian coast, picturesque Piran stands on a spit of land bathed by the Adriatic. Its old town, surrounded by ramparts, offers a medieval atmosphere, tinged with Venetian nuances. From Piazza Tartini, you can explore a labyrinth of mysterious alleyways, while those on the hillside will lead you to the church of St George, built on a knoll overlooking the shore. Don’t forget to try borek, a type of dough filled with meat or fruit.
