Everyone in Lapland knows that Santa Claus has a secret hiding place where he goes to relax. Today you have the opportunity to visit this hideaway. Here, you will also meet Santa Claus himself! Short transfer from the hotel to a hut in the middle of the forest. On the way, you suddenly meet one of Santa’s helpers. You follow him through the forest and, with a bit of luck, you may even spot rabbits and reindeer. Experience an exclusive evening with a unique atmosphere. Fire, ice, snow, darkness, lights, music – these are the elements that make this magical event special for the whole family. A very special turn of the year. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Husky safariWinter magic with a husky team! Before setting off, you will receive brief instructions on how to steer the sledge, which can fit two people. After half of the journey, the sledge driver and passenger can swap places! Transfer to the husky farm by bus. (Sledge ride approx. 1 hour)
Snowmobile safariThis snowmobile safari focuses on the unique natural landscape of the Lappish fells. Hot berry juice is served afterwards. On the safaris, the children are pulled in a sledge. Children that are over 1.40 m tall may ride on the adult’s sledge, provided they have paid the adult price.

Hotel of your choice in a winter paradise

Lapland Hotel Riekonlinna***

This simple hotel is located in Saariselkä in forest surroundings, right next to the Urho Kekkonen National Park.

Rooms: Double room with shower/WC, telephone, radio, TV and balcony. The superior rooms are modernised. The apartments (incl. bed linen, towels and final cleaning) are located approx. 100 metres from the hotel and are equipped with their own balcony, 1 bedroom (maximum 4 persons) or 2 bedrooms (maximum 6 persons), kitchen, living room with sofa bed, sauna and shower/WC.

Santa’s Hotel Tunturi***

This simple hotel is quietly located in Saariselkä in forest surroundings, right next to the Urho Kekkonen National Park.

Rooms: The rooms in different categories are spread over 6 different buildings. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom, minibar, kettle, hairdryer, TV and free Wifi.

Stargazing and aurora borealis by snowmobile

Search for the stars and the Northern Lights and, with a bit of luck, watch the spectacle.

On the safaris, children are pulled in a sledge. Children that are more than 1.40 m tall may ride on the adult’s sledge, provided they have paid the adult price.

Reindeer safari

On this safari, you will get to know the traditional Lappish mode of transport. Experience this old, tranquil way of travelling through a snowy landscape. Transfer to and from the hotel by bus.

Ice fishing and snowmobile tour

Drill a hole in the ice here and put your fishing skills to the test! You might even catch a char. You can enjoy a snack at the campfire and have the opportunity to grill your catch. (2 people per snowmobile)
