Its cultural assets, colourful landscapes, beautiful beaches and mild climate make it one of the most popular destinations in Europe. The cities in the south with their Moorish heritage, Andalusia with its strong character, the festive atmosphere and natural landscapes of the Balearic Islands or the unique volcanic backdrop of the Canary Islands… They all transport you to different worlds and provide unforgettable moments.

  1. Playa de MajorcaAlcúdia is located in an enchanting bay in the north-east of the island and has a 14 km long sandy bay. Alcúdia and Puerto de Alcúdia are home to the archaeological site of Pollentia, the former Roman capital of the island. The old town of Alcúdia, surrounded by medieval fortifications, is particularly attractive due to its cosy atmosphere and small cobbled streets, where all kinds of festivals are regularly held. The Albufera nature reserve is also a must for nature and animal lovers. Numerous species have settled here and the landscape is unspoilt! Distance to the airport: 67 km.
  2. PalmanovaThis former small fishing village is located on the south-west coast of Majorca, close to the lively holiday resort of Magaluf with its large water park, numerous entertainment options and water sports facilities. Restaurants, bars and shops can be found along the promenade of Palmanova, which stretches along the fine, white sandy beach. Distance to the airport: 30 km.
  3. Colonia de San JordiThis small fishing port near salt pans, which are among the oldest in the world, has gradually developed into a popular family holiday resort in the southeast of Majorca. Its development has been harmonious and the destination has managed to maintain the sweet life . Its proximity to the Cabrera National Park and the beautiful white sandy beaches lapped by translucent waters make it an ideal place for a varied holiday. When staying in Colonia de Sant Jordi, it is worth making a detour to the beautiful beaches of Es Estanys and Es Trenc on one side of the town and Es Dolç and Es Carbo on the other. Distance to the airport: 45 km.

From Palma de Majorca, you will first drive through the Majorcan plain to Port de Pollença, where you will take the Corniche road that will take you to Cap de Formentor, the northernmost point of the island. The drive itself is a feast for the eyes, as you can enjoy the beauty of the landscape of this unique and unspoilt place over a distance of around 20 kilometres, especially from several viewpoints that are perfect for photo stops.

The lighthouse, built in 1857 to guide ships along the coast, stands on the summit of Cap de Formentor.

From Palma de Majorca, head to Porto Cristo, where you will find the Dragon Caves (Cuevas del Drach), which were first discovered by some historians in 1338! 25 metres underground, this natural wonder stretches over 1200 metres with its galleries. From these galleries you can observe all kinds of stalactites, stalagmites and other geological treasures that have been formed over the centuries by the infiltration of water and other natural elements. The galleries also lead into an underground lake that is 117 metres long and between 4 and 12 metres deep. Lake Edouard Alfred Martel, named after the speleologist who first travelled through it, is one of the three largest underground lakes in the world.

This is an activity that will appeal to sea lovers. On board a motorboat, sailing boat or catamaran, you can discover the Majorcan coast and especially the bay of Pollensa from a completely different perspective. Not only will you enjoy the beauty of the landscape with the majestic mountains in the background, but you can also take the time to observe the underwater world while snorkelling in the island’s most beautiful bays (mask, fins and snorkel provided). Headgear and sun cream are essential.
