Located in the north of Europe, sharing its borders with Sweden, Finland and Russia, Norway is a country full of natural wonders. With over 5 million inhabitants, it is also one of the happiest countries in the world (according to the UN). Norway has over 25,148 kilometres of coastline (58,133km including the islands!). The reason for this are the many fjords that run the length of the country. Norway also has many glaciers and waterfalls, and a very rugged mountainous terrain. The country’s harsh climate preserves much of its natural wealth. In fact, the cult of nature is an essential part of the Norwegian identity. Many activities revolve around nature, such as hiking.
