Your adventure begins with comfortable flights from Luxembourg to Oslo, where your German-speaking tour guide will welcome you. Highlights of your trip include a spectacular journey on the Bergen Railway through the breathtaking Norwegian countryside and an unforgettable boat trip from Flam to Bergen. The Must-sees of the trip

  1. Hike: St Pål and Klemsbu (medium difficulty)A very popular hike. You walk north-east from the hotel between the mountains Jomfrunuten and Kvannjolnuten. The Klemsbu hut is at 1600 metres and is a great place for a rest, even though the hut is closed. To reach the mountain St. Pål (1695 m), you climb 450 metres in altitude and can enjoy a unique view.
  2. Finse – VatnahalsenYou travel a short distance on the Bergen Railway to Hallingskeid. Then enjoy a unique hike along the famous Rallarvegen to Vatnahalsen. Hike: Hallingskeid to Vatnahalsen (easy). The route is 15 kilometres flat and downhill. The highlight of the route is the Kleivagjelet gorge and the view of the beautiful Kleivabrua. On the way, you will have a lunch break with a view of the river and the bridge. From Myrdal, the route continues for a short distance to Vatnahalsen.
  3. Hike Skjebergsnuten (medium difficulty)The hike is approx. 9 km long and takes approx. 3 hours (return journey). A great hike on a marked path, medium difficulty. You cross the summit of Kjosfossen and walk past the huts at Reinungavatnet. Steep ascent, the path is marked with rocks. After the first ascent, you have a beautiful view of Reinungavatnet lake, Seltuftvatnet lake, Kjosfossen waterfall, the Flåm railway and parts of the Bergen railway. From here, continue westwards along the ridge towards Skjebergsnuten. Here the flora changes as you move above the tree line. The highest point is marked (1164 metres above sea level) and offers great views towards Myrdalen, Ugjersdalen, Flåmsdalen (Vidmesnåse) and further east towards Seltuft/Hallingskeid.

Optional zipline ride

Between Vatnahalsen and Kårdal, you can also take a ride on Scandinavia’s longest zip wire, which was installed in 2018.

It measures a total of 1,381 metres and has a top speed of up to 100 km/h.

Optional trip on the Flåm Railway

You can now experience the world-famous Flåm Railway, a masterpiece of railway engineering, through the breathtaking Flåm Valley from Vatnahalsen to Flåm. The line is 20 km long, has a difference in altitude of 865 metres, a gradient of 1:18 and 20 tunnels over a total of 6 km. During the 50-minute journey, you will experience a wonderful, constantly changing panorama with high, snow-covered mountains, thundering waterfalls and green meadows. Depending on train times, you will have a short stop in Flåm before travelling back to Vatnahalsen.

Hike Orrabenken – Klukshaug (medium difficulty)

This hike takes you up to the mountain behind the centre of Balestrand to a popular hiking area. When you reach Orrabenken, you already have a marvellous view of the fjord. The hike is moderately difficult, approx. 7 km round trip and takes approx. 4 hours. Difference in altitude: 381 metres.
