- Day trip to Piton de la FournaiseClassified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Piton de la Fournaise is one of the world’s most active volcanoes, with a summit altitude of 2,631 metres. Easily accessible via the volcano’s forest road, which starts in the heart of the Plaine des Cafres, near the village of Bourg-Murat, the Piton de la Fournaise is also the island’s most visited tourist site.

These multicoloured sand dunes are known as the “Seven Coloured Earths” because they seem to have all the colours of the rainbow. A unique landscape that has become a symbol of Mauritius.
