Tongdosa

One of the five “Nirvana Jewel Palaces”, which houses relics of Buddha Sakyamuni, but without a Buddha statue in its large prayer hall.

One of the most sacred temples in Korea. It is located north of Busan and can be visited as part of a day trip.

Bulguksa

One of the most important temples of Buddhist art in Korea and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bulguksa Temple is located in the Gyeongju region. It can be reached by plane or train from Seoul or by train from Busan.

Jeju

An excursion into nature. The island off the south coast of the Korean peninsula is prized for its nature and is known for the highest mountain in Korea, the Hallasan volcano.
