The Must-sees of the trip
- Puerto de la CruzThis town, characterised by its subtropical climate, is located in the north of the island. The famous botanical gardens and the houses of the old harbour with their flower-filled courtyards, the plaza shaded by laurel trees, the chapel of San Telmo and the citadel are a must-see for any visitor. In addition to the man-made beach with black sand, the municipality is also home to the famous public seawater pools, including Lago Martiánez with 8 beautiful pools (entrance fee).
- Puerto SantiagoUntil the mid-1980s, Puerto Santiago was still a small town whose inhabitants lived mainly from fishing. Its family atmosphere is particularly pleasant for travellers looking for peace and quiet. The beautiful, well-kept black sand beach of Playa de la Arena is one of the most beautiful sights on the south-west coast of Tenerife.
- Cueva del VientoA truly unique experience awaits those who dare to explore a lava tube – an extraordinary opportunity that you won’t find anywhere else. In the picturesque town of Icod de los Vinos, you will find La Cueva del Viento, a cave that stretches for 17 kilometres, making it the longest cave in the whole of Europe. This remarkable underground extension offers an unforgettable journey into the depths of the earth and reveals the fascinating volcanic history of the island.

La Caleta
La Caleta is a small fishing village in the south-west of Tenerife. With a more peaceful atmosphere than most destinations on the Costa Adeje, La Caleta still has plenty of entertainment options and above all, good restaurants where you can enjoy seafood right by the sea.
La Gomera
Located opposite Tenerife, the second smallest island in the Canary archipelago is characterised by its magnificent and unspoilt landscapes, which will delight hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers. The island is surrounded by cliffs, dotted with picturesque fishing villages and borders the beautiful Garajonay National Park, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Distance from Tenerife: approx. 50 min boat transfer.
Dolphin & Whale watching
Tenerife is a prime destination for whale and dolphin watching. Benefit of the fact that 21 of the world’s 79 species of dolphins and whales live in these island waters, including a permanent colony of around 500 pilot whales and 250 bottlenose dolphins. Most of these extraordinary creatures live mainly in the waters between the south coast of the island and the nearby town of La Gomera. What makes this experience truly extraordinary, is their proximity to the coast, from which they are often only five kilometres away.
